Services for Catherine Ann Lawrence, 88, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Sister Omega Carson and Rev. Jamie Perry will officiate. Burial will follow at Swan Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Cathy passed away Sunday, November 8, 2015 at an Oklahoma City hospital. She was born June 27, 1927 at Colorado City, Texas to Jack and Annie Waldrop Bourland. She attended school in Texas.
She married W. W. “Bill” Lawrence November 4, 1942. He preceded her in death November 12, 1997. She later married Eugene Stevens March 28, 2005 in Durant. Cathy was a grocery checker for Dutch Robbins Grocery for over 20 years and later for Martin’s Meat Market. She was a member of the Abundant Life Tabernacle.
Survivors include her husband, Eugene Stevens, of the home; a son, Phillip Lawrence and wife Sandi of Ada; four grandchildren, Jennifer Pogue and husband Charlie of Ada, Jason Lawrence and wife Susan of Oklahoma City, Paula Christian and husband Jason of Perkins and Chase Lawrence and wife Amanda of Yukon; five great-grandchildren, Tyler Pogue, Victoria Pogue, Camren Christian, Cooper Christian and Catie Lawrence; two step-daughters, Tanis Hatton and husband Bobby of Ada and Karen Shane of England; six step—grandchildren; eight step great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was also Granny to Waylon and Kortni Perry, Chance, Jaxon, and Ryder and Cole Harwood and many more who considered her as their granny.
Bearers will be Charlie Pogue, Jason Lawrence, Jason Christian, Chase Lawrence, Tyler Pogue and Camren Christian.
