Services for Lottie Geneva (Haskins) Hood, 89, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Center Free Will Baptist Church, her sons, Earl Hood and Richard Hood will officiate, assisted by Mr. Mark Barnes. Burial will follow at Swan Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hood passed away Saturday, October 31, 2020 at her son’s home. She was born January 9, 1931 at Stratford, OK to Earlin and Exie Bevers Haskins. She lived in this area all her life and attended Vanoss Schools. She graduated from Vanoss High School in 1949 and attended East Central University.
She married Talmadge “Tab” Hood July 15, 1951 at the Campground Free Will Baptist Church on a Sunday and it was a record attendance. Mrs. Hood worked in the Vanoss School Cafeteria until her retirement. She was a member of the Center Free Will Baptist Church. Mrs. Hood loved her family, her church, and church camp. She loved watching her grandkids play sports.
Survivors include two sons, Earl Hood and wife Christy, Ada and Richard Hood and wife Tiffany, Vanoss; four daughters, Eva Muck and husband Larry, Sulphur, Wanda Jennings and husband Randy, Fittstown, Ann Pender, Ada and Reba Bellville and husband Rick, Ada; a sister-in-law, Waynoka Haskins, Tulsa; her grandchildren, Randy Pender, Pauls Valley, Sherry White and husband Joe, Rosedale, Justin Pender and wife Megan, Center, Garrett Pender and wife Megan, Fittstown, Deena Jennings, Fittstown, Daniel Jennings, Jesse, Joey Muck and wife Shannon, Sulphur, Melissa Ratchford and husband Shawn, Sulphur, Lori Owens and husband Trey, Davis, Rachel Hood, Rebekah Hood, Corissa Hood, William Bellville and wife Heather, Rebecca Johnson and husband Seth, Jamie Martin and husband Kevin and Brandon Hood and wife Robyn, all of Ada, Kayla Hood, Davis and Jalee Hood, Vanoss; 39 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Talmadge "Tab" Hood, June 27, 2007; two brothers, Ewel Haskins and William Earl Haskins; a sister, Eva Ann Cave; and a son-in-law, Dennis Pender.
Bearers will be her grandsons, Joey Muck, Daniel Jennings, William Bellville, Brandon Hood, Justin Pender and Garrett Pender.
