He lived in Ada, graduated Class of 1974 at Byng High School and attended First Baptist Church, where he was baptized as a youth. Nov 6, 1977, he married Debora K. Cecil is survived by his wife, Debbie; son Jeremy & wife Gina and grandsons Ashton and Colin, son Ben; daughters Talla, Katrina and Brianna; mother Dorothy, sister Barbara & husband John Wilson, brother John Hallum, all of Ada, sister Kathy & Darrell Hampton, Wilburton; as well as many nieces and nephews, and other extended family. Cecil worked in the oilfield for several years. He loved being known as the “Dirt Guy”, and had a dump truck and tractor service for many years. He made lots of friends, and always had a story to tell. Cecil was an adult volunteer with Boy Scout Troop 4 while his son was in scouts. He took pride in being a foster care dad, and loved his family and his children very much.

Cecil was a hard working man; beloved son, brother, husband, friend, Dad, and Papa, whose presence and humor will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorials in Cecil’s name to Central Bible Academy c/o Central Church of Christ, 820 Stadium Drive, Ada. Cecil loved helping children.
