Services for Glen Wesley Groves, 83, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 3, 2021 at Trinity Baptist Church, Pastor Paul Wilson and Rev. Don Sayre will officiate with entombment to follow at Swan Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 Thursday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mr. Groves passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021 at his home. He was born March 20, 1938 in Ada to Van and Molly Boland Groves.

He married Katherine Noralene Andrews, December 19, 1975 in Ada. He was a retired mix chemist for Holcim and served in the National Guard for six years.

Glen was a faithful employee for 40 years at Holcim. He never missed a day of work for sickness unless he was in the hospital.

He was a wonderful husband and father to 3 sons and 3 new additions of girls to his home when he and Noralene were married. He was faithful to a Senior Adult ss class that became part of his family. He loved reading God's Word and was constantly trying to know more by asking questions. He ministered to his grandchildren and friends wanting to know if they were God's children and knew God personally. He loved his LORD. He loved fishing and hunting and shooting guns and bows. He was always teaching his skills to his family. Everyone has described him as kind, nice, gentle, and one of a kind.

Survivors are his wife of the home; three sons, Billy Groves, Ada, Gary Groves, Moore, and Brian Groves, Waxahachie, TX; three daughters, Diana Holland and husband Kevin, Ada, Kathy Nicolai, Tampa, FL, and Ginger Manuel, El Cajon, CA; nine grandchildren, Autumn, Ashton, McKenzie and Hunter Groves, Brandon Holland, Reagan Wilson, Taryn and Alexander Nicolai, and Caden Manuel; 15 great grandchildren; and other loving relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Sylvan, Floyd and James Groves; two sisters, Dean Stevenson and Lennie McKaskel; granddaughter, Siera Nicolai; and daughter in law, Pat Groves.

Bearers are Brandon Holland, Alexander Nicolai, Caden Manuel, Brett Krumholz, Kevin Holland, and Dan Krumholz.
