Services for Mary Delores Burnes Choate, 81, of Ada are 1:00 p.m. Saturday at High Hill Baptist Church, Rev. Randy Golden and Gene Reeves will officiate. Burial will follow at Swan Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Choate died Thursday, February 9, 2017 at a local nursing home. She was born September 4, 1935 in Ada to Roy Haskell and Edna Ruth Allen Burnes. She attended Union Hill grade school and Latta High School.

She married Kenneth Max Choate on February 12, 1955. He preceded her in death April 2001. Mrs. Choate was employed with Dollar General and Ada Nutrition Center. She was member of the Eastern Star and the High Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Cindy Choate; her son, Kenny Choate and wife Malinda; one sister-in-law Betty Burnes; one sister, Marie Duke; grandchildren, Randy Choate and wife Jennifer, Lisa and Michael Norton and Mark Choate and wife Samantha; one great-granddaughter, Kamryn Choate and three great-granddaughters and two great-grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Kenneth Burnes; two sisters, Mamie Stuart and Margaret Sandlin; one niece, Melanie Nelson; and one nephew, Douglas Stuart.

Bearers will be Randy Choate, Mark Choate, Michael Norton, Tim Armbrust, Mark Baxley and James Miller. Honorary bearers will be Mark Davis and Bobby Stuart.
