Brenda Elaine Carter, age 70 of Ada, passed away on Wednesday June 7, 2017.

She was born September 6, 1946 to Jonathon Barnett and Charleen England Barnett.

Brenda graduated from Wynnewood High School in 1964. She attended East Central University for three years.

She worked at Citizens Bank for 24 years. She also worked for Commercial Federal and was presently employed at Vision Bank.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jonathon and Charleen Barnett, a son, Tod Neil Carter, one brother, Johnny Barnett.

Brenda is survived by her son, Jonathon and his wife Gina Carter of Ada; three grandchildren, Jordan Carter of Ada, Mackenzi Carter of Ada and Tyler and his wife Hanna Carter of Frisco TX; one great granddaughter, Finley Carter of Frisco, TX; one brother, Daniel Lewis Barnett of Konawa; one sister-in-law, Bankie Barnett of Asher; nephews, Mark and Cody; nieces, Christy, Lindsay, Wynona, Rachelle and Sarah.

Brenda enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and watching her grandsons play baseball. She enjoyed going to the lake and loved spending the holidays with her family.

Funeral Services will be held at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 p.m.

Monday June 12, 2017, Rev. Bob Langston will officiate. Interment will be held at Swan Hill Cemetery, Ada.

Pallbearers are Mark Barnett, Cody Barnett, Todd Essary, Wayne Case, Jamie Sampson & Rudy Rue.
