Services for Alton Wayne Biggs, 87, of Ada are 1:00 PM Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Morris Memorial Baptist Church, Rev. Dustin Felcman will officiate. Burial will follow at Swan Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM on Friday.

Mr. Biggs passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at Ballard Nursing Home in Ada. He was born December 31, 1935 in Tishomingo to Lester and Odessa Hendrix Biggs.

He graduated from Latta High School in 1955 and married Shirley Robertson.

Mr. Biggs was a retired carpenter. He also served as the County Commissioner for District 2. Mr. Biggs was a member of Morris Memorial Baptist Church and served on the Latta School Board.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley; two sons, Gary Wayne Biggs and wife Dana of Mounds, OK and Russell Glenn Biggs and wife Brenda of Plano, TX; two daughters, Bonnie McDonald of Ada and Shari Cornell and husband James of Roff; two sisters, Sherrill Walcott and Francis Thornton; 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Mr. Biggs was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Cub Biggs; sister, Rita Williams; grandson, Tanner McDonald; and son-in-law, Dennis McDonald.

Bearers are Daniel Biggs, Darin Biggs, Jayce Biggs, Glenn Cornell, Aaron Cornell, Rick Flanary and Taylor Dunnigan. Honorary bearers are Bodee Flanary, Konner Lewis, Jayden Biggs, Joe Watkins, Jr., Hardie Biggs, Tripp Bohon, Leighton Cornell, Cason Cornell, Henry Biggs, Leon Sloss, and Remington Biggs.
