Services for James Lyle Bailey, 86, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Gary Brandt will officiate. Burial will follow at Swan Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 – 6 p.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mr. Bailey passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017 at his home. He was born March 7, 1931 in Leedey to James Emery and Willie Inez Barker Bailey. He graduated from high school and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Oklahoma State University.
He married Erika Hedwig Riedel January 14, 1957 in Auerbach, Germany. Mr. Bailey was a Plant Engineer for Holnam Cement Company, retiring in 1993. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Ada, and had served in the U. S. Army from 1955 until 1957.
Survivors include his wife, Erika, of the home; his children, Glen Bailey and wife Melissa, Sandra Henderson and husband Eugene and Terrie Bailey; seven grandchildren, Matthew Bailey, Caitlin Dale and husband Michael, Daniel Bailey and wife Amy, Ryan Bailey, Rachel Henderson, Tina Borboa and husband Joe and Eric Hasskarl; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Carol Sharp and husband David; and two nephews, Kyle Sharp and Darren Sharp.
Bearers will be his grandsons, Matthew Bailey, Daniel Bailey, Ryan Bailey and Eric Hasskarl; and his son, Glen Bailey, and son-in-law, Eugene Henderson.
The family says those who wish may make memorial to: The Gideon’s International Processing Center, P. O. Box 97251, Washington, D. C. 20090-7251.
