Services for Gilbert William Walker, 61, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 16, 2021 at the Chickasaw Nation Community Center, Dennis Williams will officiate. Burial will follow at Steedman Cemetery. The Chickasaw Honor Guard will conduct military honors.
Mr. Walker passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021 at his home. He was born February 20, 1960 in Oklahoma City, OK to Virgil and Sarah Alexander Walker. He graduated from Byng High School.
Mr. Walker was a self-employed auto mechanic. Gilbert loved playing horseshoe games in tournaments. He loved his daughter Tia and Grandkids. He was so proud of his new great grandchild Legacy. Gilbert served in the US Marine Corp. July 23, 1980-July 11, 1983 and was Honorably discharged.
Survivors include a daughter, Tia Guerrero; brother, Stoney Steven Walker; four sisters, Dinah Worcester and husband Roy, Sharlene Powers, Paula Kay Carrion and Imagene Lozano; one brother, Greg Walker; three grandchildren, Esté-Chate, Lewis Jenesis and Silas Lewis; and a great-granddaughter, Legacy Wagnor.
Bearers will be Frank Walters, Danny Walker, Gary Walker, Bob Knight, Anthony Wood and Michael Jarvis.
