Services for Harlan Joseph Shields, 54, of Stonewall are 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Pastor Tony Poe will officiate. Burial will follow at Steedman Cemetery. A Wake Service will be held 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Criswell Chapel.

Mr. Shields passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at an Ada hospital. He was born March 30, 1962 in Talihina, OK to Joseph and Minnie Allen Shields. Mr. Shields worked in the mechanic shop at the Chickasaw Nation Housing.

Survivors include eight sisters, Rose Jefferson and husband Gene, Ada, Mae Hamilton and husband Robert, Mill Creek, Imogene Imotichey-Walker and husband Gary, Ada, Louise Shields, Ada, Mary Gipson, Ada, Gayle Clark and husband Scott, Mill Creek, Carol Fox and husband Larry, Ada and Marla Key and husband Roy, Ada; a brother, Kent Shields and wife Carol, Norman; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Charles Shields, Simon Shields and Henry Shields; a nephew, Steven Hamilton; and niece, Deedra Jean Jefferson.

Bearers will be Jay Wisdom, Kevin Wisdom, Darl Durant, Floyd Smith, Dusty Newport and Daryl Smith. Honorary bearers will be Terry Factor, Tony Lewis and Joe Akers.
