Services for Lela Faye Williamson, 85, of Vanoss are 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Bro. Wayne Patton will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Lela Faye celebrated her 85th birthday by going home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 26, 2018. She was in her home surrounded by her family.

Lela Faye Van Schuyver Wall Williamson was born April 26, 1933 at Lindsay to Vernon and Norma Henrietta McAlister Van Schuyver. She grew up in the Vanoss area and graduated from Vanoss High School in 1951. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from East Central University.

Lela married her high school sweetheart, Ralph Edward Wall in 1950. They had four children.

In 1975, Lela married Jack Williamson and was blessed to gain three more children through marriage.

Lela was a dedicated elementary school teacher at Vanoss for over 25 years. She was a faithful member of the Wilson Free Will Baptist Church, serving many years as a Sunday School teacher and church secretary. Lela was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

Lela was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Norma Van Schuyver; two sisters, Ila Mae Turner and Matalee Heimer; a brother, Edward; her first husband, Ralph Wall, and her second husband, Jack Williamson.

She is survived by sons, Vernon Wall of Ada, Evert Wall and wife Glenda of Broken Arrow; daughters, Darlene Wall and husband Roger Podwoski of St. Petersburg, Florida, Sherry Hall and husband Rick of Ada; a step-son, Jack Williamson and wife Judy of Oklahoma City; step-daughters, Carol Buchanan and husband Daryl of Seminole, Kathryn York and husband Ronnie of Ada; sister, Rose Jackson of Ada; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Lela will be dearly missed.

Bearers will be Jarrod Hunt, Andy Hinkle, Matthew Wiley, Thomas Lewis Cox, II, Brett York, Connor Buchanan, Nick York, Steven Barton, Tom Kaufman, Jared Hall, Scott Miller and Scott Manuel.
