Chester Carl Williams

Graveside services for Chester Carl Williams, 89, of Rosedale, OK, will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at Rosedale Cemetery in Ada.

Mr. Williams passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2017 in Norman. He was born December 18, 1927 at Burkburnett, TX to Clyde and Mamie Williamson Williams. He and his family moved to this area when he was a young child. He attended Denney and Francis schools.

He married Mae Fern Maxberry July 27, 1948. She preceded him in death December 22, 2004 in Norman. Mr. Williams was a supervisor in construction and was a former owner of a restaurant and an appliance store. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II and the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include four daughters, Carla Sharon Masterson of Lexington, Vicki Carol Keen of Oklahoma City, Pamela Fern Provenzano of Norman and Tammy Dawn Williams of Moore; a son, Glen Dwayne Williams of Oklahoma City; five grandchildren, Rhonda Lyn LeMay, Julie Kristine Baalman, Shawn Dwayne Overcash, Dustin Antony Provenzano and Whitney Don Provenzano; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Hubert Williams and Bill Williams; and a sister, Virgie Green.

His grandsons and great-grandsons will serve as bearers.

Carl was deeply loved and will be missed and was his children’s hero.
