Services for Susie Pearl (Dismukes) Ward, 99, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the College Heights Baptist Church, Pastor Bud Wolf will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.

Mrs. Ward passed away Friday, November 22, 2019 at her home. She was born June 10, 1920 at Jesse to George Marvin and Florence Lee Lewellen Dismukes. She attended Latta school.

She married Jesse Freland Ward April 9, 1938 at Ada. He preceded her in death January 14, 1979. Mrs. Ward was a homemaker and a member of the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church at Noble.

Survivors include her children, Latricia Wolfe, Joice Cavins, Melva Pyles, Melvin Ward, Thomas Ward and Virginia Kay Phillips; her sisters, Ida Overby and Daisy Roach-Ascencio; two brothers, Bobby Dismukes and Melvin Dismukes; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Jimmy Ward and Joel Ward; four sisters, Ardilla Shipero, Ellen James, Tiny Cantley and Virginia Dismukes; and three brothers, Jim Dismukes, George Dismukes and Luther Dismukes.

Bearers will be Billy Ward, Buddy Wofl, Jack Ward, Brandon Garrett, Carl Garrett and Raymond Pyles.
