Services for Betty Geanee Bullington Thompson, 85, of Ada will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church, Rev. Brian Matthews will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Thompson died Monday, October 14, 2019 at a local hospital. She was born December 17, 1933 in Mountain View, OK to Joseph Byron and Gladys Marie Arthur Bullington. She attended school at Mountain View, graduated from Carnegie High School in 1952 and attended Oklahoma College for Women at Chickasha.

She married C. A. Thompson July 3, 1953. He preceded her in death March 11, 2007. Mrs. Thompson was a homemaker, avid painter, and attended the First United Methodist Church where attended the Fellowship Sunday school class and was a member of the Talmidim Bible Study Class. She worked for Pool Mortgage Co. at Chickasha for 6 ½ years, was a member of the The Gladiolus Garden Club of Ada for 30 years, and served as President for 6 years. She also was President of the Ada Council of Garden Clubs for 5 years and a member of the The Magic Brush and Guild since 1983. Betty won many awards at flower shows hosted by the Ada Council of Garden Clubs and many awards at art shows and the county fair.

Survivors include her son, Richard Thompson and wife Mamie of Ada; six grandchildren, Alicia Daniel, Adam Daniel, Andrew Daniel, Amanda Daniel, Adeline Daniel and Roxane Thompson. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; five uncles and two cousins.
