A memorial service for Jimmy Thomason will be held at 2 pm, Friday, Dec. 10, 2021 at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Revs. Earl Hood and Woody Wilson will officiate. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.

Mr. Thomason passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, early Tuesday morning, Nov. 23, 2021 at a local nursing home.

He was born Nov. 19, 1950 in Chattanooga, TN to John L. Thomason and Frankie M. Goins Thomason.

He lived in Chattanooga until the age of seven when his family located to Lawndale, CA. In 1971, he came to Ada, OK where he later met and married Jeannie Marie Baker. He was self-employed, attended Ada First Indian Baptist Church with his wife and lived in Ada fifty years.

Mr. Thomason is survived by a sister, Emma Lucas and husband, John, of Ada; brothers, Jerry L. Thomason and wife, Gloria, of Ft. Smith, AR; and Joel Thomason and husband, Jason, of Gulfport, MS. Four uncles in Georgia. Daughters, Charlotte Johns; and Lilli Youngblood and husband, Henry, of Ada; sons, Preston Baker of Ada; and Charles "Kato" Baker of Kirtland, NM.

He was known as "Papaw" and "Paps" to twelve grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren and thirteen great-great-grandchildren. He had two nieces, four nephews, and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and daughter, Bonnie Baker.
