Services for Ralph Edward Teel, 71, of Ada, are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Norman Standfield will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mr. Teel died Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at his home. He was born February 23, 1943 in Ada to Audie and Catherine Roddy Teel. He attended Vanoss schools and graduated from Vanoss High School.

He married Jeanine Wood on August 23, 1965 in Gainesville, TX. Mr. Teel was a dairy farmer until his retirement and later worked in construction. He served in the U. S. Army from January 15, 1964 until being honorably discharged December 1, 1965.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanine Teel, of the home; a daughter, Angela Wood and husband Bill of Ada; a son, Michael Teel and wife Debbie of Stonewall; two brothers, Raymond Teel and wife Marilee of Ada and Ronnie Teel of Snow; three sisters, Frances Stringer of Ft. Worth, TX, Robinette Horton and husband Murl of Ada, and Reba Teel of Ada; six grandchildren, Anna and Matthew Cale Wood, Michael Anthony Brooks Jr., Derrick Brooks, Amber Black, and Britney Brooks Teel; and two great-grandchildren, Memory Jones and Jett Black.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and an infant son, Roland Teel.

Bearers will be Matthew Cale Wood, Bill Wood, Scott Cartwright, Jason Poindexter, Don Johnson and Terry Pinley.

The family says those who wish may make memorials to the Byng Volunteer Fire Department, 110 Byng Ave, Ada, OK 74820; or the New Hope Baptist Church Building Fund, 3000 Sandy Creek Drive, Ada, OK 74820.
