Services for Viola Mae Ragland, 84, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Tony Folger will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ragland passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at her home. She was born May 15, 1936 at Harden City, OK to William Henry and Eva Eugene Reed Chronister.

She married James Edward Ragland February 3, 1953 at Ft. Smith, AR. He preceded her in death August 4, 1979. Mrs. Ragland was a homemaker and had also worked in housekeeping at Valley View Regional Hospital for many years. Mrs. Ragland was a quilter for over 60 years.

Survivors include her children, Mike Ragland and wife Jan, Lewis Ragland, Linda Magaw and husband Howard and Leta Hayes, all of Ada; a brother, Richard Chronister and wife Mary of Ada; twelve grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four brothers, Robert, Lonnie, Hershel and Gene Chronister; four sisters, Florence Pied, Pat Nunley, Bonnie Harbin and Lorene Files; a grandson, Ryan Ragland; granddaughter, Jennifer Batchelor Ragland; and her son-in-law, Danny Hayes.

Bearers will be Chris Magaw, Brandon Harbin, Wayne Chronister, Derek Hayes, Danny Hayes and Blake Farris. Honorary bearer will be Justin Ragland.
