Services for Claud Junior Huliet Nichols, 68, of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Union Hill Baptist Church, Rev. John Ingle will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mr. Nichols died Friday, December 9, 2016 at his home. He was born November 11, 1948 in Piggott, AR to Maurice and Annie Rosetta Scritchfield Nichols.
He married Betty “Sandy” O’Gwin on October 4, 1980 in Ada. Mr. Nichols was a custodian for East Central University, served in the U. S. Army, and a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Sandy, of the home; one daughter, Rachel Dawn DiMambro and husband Kenny, of Ada; one son, Christopher William O’Gwin, of Ada; one niece, Hope Bowyer, of Del City; five brothers, Huliet Nichols, of Shawnee, John Nichols, of Seminole, Gene Nichols, of Oklahoma City, Earl Nichols, of Davis, and David Nichols and wife Belinda, of Oklahoma City; three sisters, Mary Landrum, of Piggott, AR, Annie Reese Crawford, of South Iron, MI, and Caroly Bowyer and husband Roger, of Del City; five grandchildren, Christian Stinnett, Shelby Stinnett, Haylee O’Gwin, Chloe O’Gwin and Landon O’Gwin, all of Ada; great-niece, Isabella Bowyer and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one niece, Hollie Rachel Bowyer and a nephew, Damien Lawrence.
Bearers will be Christian Stinnett, Martin Laurie, Michael Faulkner, Bryan Clonch, Terry Smith and bobby Anderson. Honorary bearers will be Tucker Laurie, Matty Laurie, Johnny Barney, Bob Gray, Horace Golden, Gene Steele, Tom Blackwell, Robbie Hatton, Maynard Whipple, Jerry Duncan and John Ens.
