Graveside services for Rudy Dale Newton, Sr., 85, of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Rosedale Cemetery. Bud Ross will officiate.

Mr. Newton passed away Friday, March 25, 2016 at a local nursing home. He was born May 6, 1930 at Ada to Benjamin Tolbert and Maude Lee Hutchins Newton.

He married Carmelita Etier October 6, 1950 in Ada. She preceded him in death. Mr. Newton was a self-employed tile layer and also owned and operated a piano shop.

Survivors include daughters, Pamela Newton of Ada, and Vickie Bowman; two granddaughters, Amber Diane Donaldson and husband Jeremy of Ardmore and Amanda Holder; grandson, Joshua Alan Swearingen of Ada; and great-grandchildren, Abigail Gates and Dylan Donaldson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a son, Rudy Newton, Jr.; three sisters; and a brother.
