Graveside Services for Miles Andrew McCauley, 50, of Austin, TX will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Rosedale Cemetery, Ada. Rev. David Gray will officiate.
Our Beloved Miles Andrew McCauley (Andy) was born to Miles A. and June McCauley on January 10, 1969 in Fort Worth, Texas. He passed away at his home on June 15, 2019 in Austin, Texas.
Andy majored in math and physics at the University of Texas at Austin.
He spent most of his working life in the building and construction industry. First working in custom cabinet building during summer breaks from school and afterward building sets for the movie and television industry in Austin. He was passionate about the environment and was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed bird watching, kayaking, hiking, fishing, and camping.
Andy was preceded in death by his father and grandparents. He is survived by his mother June of Fort Worth, Texas; his brother Mark A. McCauley of Fort Worth, Texas; sister and her husband, Susan and Tim Matheus and Family of Fort Worth, Texas; sister and her husband, Carol and Mark Johnson and Family of Bethpage, Tennessee; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous other loving family and friends.
Andy was an avid gardener who truly appreciated all living things; therefore, we are asking that in lieu of flowers please plant something beautiful in his honor, make contributions to an organization that assists individuals suffering from depression or make donations to the Austin Humane Society.
