Services for Roy Ed Lackey, 72, of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Seth Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. The Chickasaw Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery.
Mr. Lackey passed away Monday, November 23, 2015 at an Ada hospital. He was born September 27, 1943 in Ada to James Roy and Charlotte Jenkins Lackey. He graduated from Byng High School and attended East Central University.
He married Patricia Diann Allen October 18, 1963 in Ada. Mr. Lackey was a meat cutter with several local stores until his retirement. He was a member of Morris Memorial Baptist Church and the American >Legion. Mr. Lackey served in the U. S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia, of the home; two daughters, Tammy Brown and her husband Sam of Ada and Tina Brassfield and her husband Dion of Pottsboro, TX; four grandsons, Kolbie Brown and wife Kacey, Michael Ofsak, Dalton Brown and Hunter Brown; two great-grandchildren, Kinsley Brown and Kamden Brown; and his half-sisters and brothers, Charlene Tharp, Randy Johnson, Billy Johnson, Marlene Orr, Nona Murphy and Judy Van Arsdale.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Roy Lackey and Charlotte Lackey Johnson; and five brothers, Johnny, Larry, Bobby, Robert and James.
Bearers will be his two sons-in-law, Sam Brown and Dion Brassfield, and his four grandsons, Kolbie Brown, Michael Ofsak, Dalton Brown and Hunter Brown. Honorary bearesr will be Everett Wilmeth and Rick Jones.
