Services for Frances Ilene O誰eal Howard, 96, of Gulf Shores, Alabama, formerly of Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.

Mrs. Howard died Thursday, September 10, 2015 in Gulf Shores, Alabama. She was born May 16, 1919 in Clarita, Oklahoma to Coda A. O誰eal and Bess Barton O誰eal. She graduated from Excelsior High School and attended Oklahoma A & M University.

She married C. B. Howard April 7, 1940 in Konawa. Mr. Howard, former chairman of the board of the First National Bank and Trust Company of Ada (now Vision Bank), died March 17, 2008.

The Howards moved from Dallas, TX to Ada in 1944 where Mrs. Howard made her home until 2010 when she moved to Gulf Shores to be near her son, Mike, and his family. While in Ada, she served as Office Manager at Wickham Packing Company until she retired in 1966. She was a longtime member of the Southwest Church of Christ and active with her husband in local and state organizations as he spent 50 years promoting Ada and bringing economic development to the area.

Survivors include their son, Mike Howard and wife Pat of Gulf Shores; three grandsons, Rick Howard and wife Loresa and daughter Seanna, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; John Howard and wife Kirsten of Atlanta, Georgia; and Bill Howard of Gulf Shores, Alabama; one sister, Norman O誰eal Hopper of Houston, TX, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, C. B. Howard, a brother, C. A. O誰eal, Jr., and a sister, Bettye Jo O誰eal Loeb.
