Services for Alma Norine Harden, 95, of Ada are 1:00 p.m. Monday at the Fittstown Baptist Church, Rev. Reno Dye will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Ada.

Mrs. Harden passed away Thursday, November 1, 2018 at her home. She was born April 27, 1923 at Rogers, AR to Arthur Roe and Alma Boyd Garlington. She and her family moved to Pawnee from the Rogers, AR area in 1929. She graduated from Pawnee High School and received a Bachelor’s Degree from Oklahoma A & M (Oklahoma State University). While in college, she was a member of the Home Economics Club.

She married Kenneth Doyle Harden July 5, 1944 in Pawnee. He preceded her in death October 19, 2007. Mrs. Harden had taught Home Economics at Murray State College in Tishomingo until her retirement. She was a member of Fittstown Baptist Church, a member of the Ada Hereford Whirlers Square Dance Club and a Ladies Group in Fittstown.

Survivors include a son, T. Marc Harden and his wife Kyla of Ada; three grandchildren, Amberly Harden, Julie Neutzhorn-Harden and Kenley Harden; a sister, Jackie Wise of St. Louis, MO; and other loving relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a brother, Arthur R. “Art” Garlington, Jr.
