Services for Michael “Mike” Alan Gray, 73, of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 5, 2021 at Trinity Baptist Church, Dr. Rusty Fuller and Rev. David Gray will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. The Chickasaw Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery.

Mr. Gray passed away Friday, February 19, 2021 at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born January 17, 1948 in Ft. Worth, TX to Jesse Blain and Frances Joan Yoder Gray. He graduated from Ada High School in 1966. Mike played for three Cougar Football Championship Teams. He received a Bachelor’s Degree from East Central University.

He married Phyllis Jean Braden November 7, 1969 in Ada. Mike had been employed with Evergreen Mills, Rainbows and Halos, and Chickasaw Enterprises and Hatton Enterprises. He had served in the U. S. Army from October 19, 1967 to August 31, 1970 during the Vietnam Era, stationed in Korea.

Mike was a member of the BPOE #1640 and held local and state offices. He enjoyed cooking for and entertaining family and friends. He especially loved traveling and taking cruises with his wife and Alaskan fishing trips with his sons and treasured friends. Mike loved spoiling his Labrador, Zoey. He was considered a “numbers guy” and through the years assisted many people with income taxes and accounting/bookkeeping. Mike was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Phyllis, of the home; two sons, Jayson B. Gray and wife Michelle of Fairview, TX and Jeremy “Chad” Gray of Fittstown; three grandchildren, Jaycob, Austin, and Addison Gray; a brother, David Gray and wife Karen, Ada; his mother-in-law, Jean Storts, Ada; sister-in-law, Jayna Anderson, Edmond; and numerous other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Ralph J. Gray; and sister-in-law, Gloria Donaghey.

Bearers will be David Hatton, Roger Pinson, Mel Adair, Bill Lance, Johnny Wilson and Robert Bennett. Honorary bearers will be Gov. Bill Anoatubby, Jack McMahan and Stanley Taylor.
