Graveside services for Lawanda Joyce Gilliam, 78, Ada are 10:00 a.m. Friday at Rosedale Cemetery, Danny Oliver will officiate.

Mrs. Gilliam died Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at a local hospital. She was born May 20, 1937 in Ada to Oscar and Thelma Scott Beach. She was one of twelve children and attended Lovelady and Homer Schools.

She married Thomas Gilliam on March 2, 1955. He preceded her in death on March 21, 2013. Mrs. Gilliam was retired from Solo Cup as a Supervisor and attended Bible Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Kevin Gilliam of Stonewall; two daughters, Sharon Gilliam of Wichita, Kansas and Lawana Dopson and husband Ron of Ada and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Thomas Gilliam in 2008 and five brothers and sisters.
