Services for Harry C. Ellis, 93, of Van Buren, AR, formerly of Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 7, 2022 at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Davey Ellis and Buck Cobley will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.

Mr. Ellis died Tuesday, January 4, 2022 in a Ft. Smith, AR hospital. He was born December 2, 1928 in Little Rock, AR to Harrison “Harry” Earl and Addie Margaret Sowell Ellis.

He married Betty Jo Pearce on May 8, 1948 in Ada. She preceded him in death on December 4, 2018. Mr. Ellis attended Barber College at Long Beach, CA and was a barber in Ada for many years. He also did masonry work and was a charter member of the Assembly of God in Bellflower, CA.

Survivors include three daughters, Lena Margarette Crawford, Rosa Sharon Yates and Carrie Joan Morrison; one son, Harry Joe Ellis; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruby Rust; and a brother, David Don Ellis.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty; a daughter, Corona Jean Patterson; two sisters, Eva Haze and Margarette Childs; and three brothers, Douglas Ellis, Lonny Ellis and Stanley Ellis.
