David Clark Eidson was born on November 19th, 1955, in Oklahoma City. David passed away in the early hours of November 4th, 2021, at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. At his side, as she has been for 46 years, was his wife Sherry.

After graduating from Choctaw High School, David and Sherry were married in Nicoma Park on October 24th, 1975. They then made their home in Ada where he worked for 40 years for CenterPoint Energy. With his cheerful attitude and bright smile, David was the biggest fan and encouragement for his sons, Matthew and Derick. His battle with cancer in recent months showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile.

Those who are left here to celebrate his life, share amazing memories, and live in his legacy are his wife, Sherry; two sons Matthew, his wife Misty; and Derick, and his wife Kelsy; his five cherished and very spoiled grandchildren: Tucker, Addeline, Deacon, Cannon, and Taylor. David is also survived by his parents, Dwight and Sherry Eidson; his sister Jenice Carson, her husband Ron; and his brother Michael, and his wife Candy. He also leaves behind nieces and nephews Justin Carson, Stacey Bickerstaff, Brandon Eidson, Brian Eidson, and Levi Eidson along with many great-nieces and nephews. David will be missed by special friends Dennis and Mary Story and Kathie Moreland, and her sons Brandon and Wes.

Waiting for David when he entered into the arms of His savior were his grandparents, Felix and Gladys Eidson and Ray and Lucille Turner; father- and mother-in-law, Robert and Mary Cannon; and his brother-in-law, Richard Cannon.

The family will celebrate his life on Monday, November 8th at 10:00 A.M. at Oak Avenue Baptist Church where David served faithfully for 46 years. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Moreland, Wes Moreland, Larry Robertson, Rance Rue, Rudy Rue, and Glenn White. Honorary pallbearers will be Dennis Story, James Harris, Kim Albritton, and David Bradley.

There will be a viewing for family and friends at Criswell Funeral Home from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 7th.
