Services for Macalyen (Green) Duke, 76, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at High Hill Baptist Church, Rev. Randy Golden will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Duke passed away Monday, December 31, 2018 at a local nursing home. She was born April 16, 1942 at Ada to Earl and Vera Cunningham Green. She was a lifelong resident of this area. She attended schools at Ahloso, Stonewall and Capitol Hill High School in Oklahoma City.
She married Willie Wade Duke September 14, 1971 at Sulphur. He preceded her in death September 15, 2000. Mrs. Duke was a certified nurse’s aide; had owned Hill Top Café in Konawa; and later owned and operated Wade’s Tavern for over 25 years.
Survivors include a three sons, David Thurman, Donnie Thurman and wife Kathy, and Stephen Duke and wife Crystal; two daughters, Debra Thurman and her partner Tammy and Tracie Carter and husband Brian; two step-sons, Terry Duke and wife Lanie and Doyle Duke and wife Billie; a sister, Becky Dial; brother, Carlen Green and wife Pat; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Jimmy Lou McDade; a brother, Bill Green; granddaughter, Ashlie Thurman; and grandson, Chance Duke.
Bearers will be Stephen Duke, Donnie Thurman, Brian Carter, Dylan Duke, Dakota Dial and Tanner Dial.
