Services for Sheila Joy DeSoto, 79, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Pastor Bob Graves will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Ms. DeSoto passed away Monday, June 17, 2019 at a local nursing home. She was born May 30, 1940 at Ada to Ralph Russell and Lyda Bernice Teel Ellis. She graduated from Ada High School and attended East Central University.
Ms. DeSoto was a Real Estate Broker for Century 21, later the owner of Rainbow Properties and the Bed Shop
Survivors include her three children, Sandra Mantzke, Mari Beth Plumlee and husband Marc, and Randy Dearman, all of Ada; two grandchildren, Diana Champagne and husband Derek, and Aiden Plumlee, both of Ada; a great-grandchild, Kalvin Champagne, and a great-grandchild on the way; two sisters, Hazel Faulkner of Ada and Becky Brenholtz and husband Hal of Pauls Valley; a dear friend, Debbie Monis, Ada; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Debra Graham and Linda Byrd; a brother, Larry Ellis; a brother-in-law, Wayne Byrd; and son-in-law, Rick Mantzke.
Bearers will be Bo Ellis, Levi Ellis, Bill Bean, Ronnie Anglin, Derek Champagne and Alonzo Albert.
