Glenn Zane Crawford, born September 10, 1947, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2024. He was 76 years old. Glenn loved life, his family and all things outdoors. He was a man of many talents. He upholstered furniture most of his adult life and enjoyed bringing old things back to life. He never settled for “okay” work—it had to be done perfectly. People appreciated this about Glenn when he cared for their furniture, and it is a quality that he instilled in his children which lives on today.
His talent was not limited to furniture. Glenn could build or fix anything. He spent a good part of his life buying old cars and boats and revitalizing them. Glenn loved horses, hunting, trapping, and fishing. His children grew up living off the land and learned to appreciate the simplistic beauty of this. His family he left behind will miss him greatly.
His surviving family are Heather Denise Huffman of Bonham, Texas and her two children, Kylie and Matt, Joseph Britton Crawford II of Frisco, Texas and his wife Angela and daughter Ayla, Scott Andrew Crawford of Anchorage, Alaska and Robin Lowe of Choctaw, Oklahoma and her husband Tony and son Nathan, his wife Sarah and their son Theo. He is survived by two loved sisters and their husbands, Jeanette and Gary LaFevers of Belton, Texas and LaNell and Robert Theser of Dianna, Texas. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Britton and Lavetta Crawford, his brother David Crawford and his sister Brenda Smith and one grandson, Jeffery Glassco.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2024 at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, in Ada, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
