Services for Eric Ray Carmichael, 44, of Ada will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Trinity Baptist Church, John Stevenson, Dane Robinson and Karl Burkhardt will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mr. Carmichael died Thursday, May 16, 2019 at a local hospital. He was born September 10, 1974 in Lawton to Donald and Brenda Sue Benson Carmichael.br> He married Lorie Robins July 11, 2014 in Eureka Springs, AR. Mr. Carmichael received his Bachelor’s Degree from East Central University. He served in the Marines from 1992 until 1999, the Chief of Police in Stonewall from 2016 until 2017, and also an officer in Holdenville and Wewoka. He was a member of the Chickasaw Warrior Society, F.O.P., Pike and Trinity Baptist Church.

Survivor include his wife, Lorie, of the home; children, Olivia Carmichael and Kaleb Carmichael of the home; Sebastian Treat of Ada; Caellan Carmichael of Escondido, CA, Morgan Carmichael and Aurora Carmichael both of Manchester, NH; parents, Renee and Karl Burkhardt of Ada; three sisters, Kim Cheatwood and husband Don of Bristow, Kayla Carmichael of Ada and Laura Robinson and husband Dane of Holdenville; brother, Phillip Jackson of Ardmore; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his father, Don Carmichael.
