Graveside services for Ora Mae Byers, 98, of Ada are 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Rosedale Cemetery, Bro. Dan Cusher will officiate.

Mrs. Byers passed away Friday, September 27, 2019 at her home. She was born August 5, 1921 in Temple, OK to Joseph Martmore and Ira Lee Stewart Payne. She attended Hickory schools and graduated from Hickory High School.

She married Derward Ira “Doc” Byers August 23, 1941. He preceded her in death March 10, 1995. Mrs. Byers was the vice-president of Insurance Underwriter, Ebey-McCauley from 1964 – 1995. She had been a member of Morris Memorial Baptist Church and later Homer Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, James Byers and his wife Glinda of Ada; two daughters, Joyce Walker and husband Glenn of Ada and Pat Raymond and husband Harold of Kaufman; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a nephew she reared, Ricky Byers.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a grandson, Michael Wayne Thurman.

Bearers will be her grandchildren.
