Sandra Kay Bundy, born February 8, 1948, to Maxine Goodman Chambers and Jack Beck, passed away May 30, 2024, in Shawnee, OK, after a short illness.
She is survived by her loving husband, Billy Bundy, of the home, one daughter, Misty Sellars, and her husband, Larry, Ada, OK, two grandsons, Matthew Sellars, Yokosuka, Kanagawa, Japan, and Trevor Sellars, Ada, two brothers, Glen Lewis, Ada, OK, and Bobbie Sears, Salina, KS, two sisters, Becky Martin, Stroud, OK, and Debbie Smith, Bennington, KS.
Sandra grew up in the Ada area, attending school in Pickett and Ada. She retired from Brockway/Owens Glass Plant when it shut down, then went to work at Remington Arms, working there until it closed.
Sandra was a kind, and humble woman, a mighty prayer warrior who made everyone around her feel loved and spiritually uplifted. She and her husband Billy were among the original members of Grace Christian Fellowship where she faithfully served in many areas over the past 31 years. You might find her helping in the nursery, cleaning up in the Welcome Center after church, or in the kitchen during and after a church fellowship. Sandra was always willing to do whatever she could, and she will be deeply missed by her church family, especially her Ladies’ group.
Sandra’s two grandsons were the light of her life. She enjoyed having them live across the street and run in and out of her house at all hours. Her husband Billy was the love of her life, and together they enjoyed a 59-year honeymoon.
The memorial service will be at 10 am Thursday, June 6, 2024 in the chapel of Criswell Funeral Home, Ada OK, Rev. Tim Tate will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
