Services for Billy Andrew Blue, Sr., 77, of Ada are 1:00 p.m. Monday at the Reaper Baptist Church, Rev. Ricky McGee will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale. The U. S. Marine Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery.
Billy Blue received his wings on Monday, November 19, 2018 at Mercy Hospital, Ada. He was born June 27, 1941 in Ada to Lonnie and Gladys Foster Blue. He attended Napier schools and Ada High School. He professed his faith in Jesus Christ and joined Reaper Baptist Missionary Church where he was a dedicated member. At Reaper Baptist, he served faithfully as a member of the Brotherhood, cutting the grass, helping whenever and however was needed or asked of him.
He was united in holy matrimony to Patricia Ann Bullard on December 6, 1969. This union was blessed with three children.
Billy Blue was a retired Veteran, first serving in the Army then later enlisting in the Marines during which he served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He worked for Reeves Packing Company until it closed. He later went to work for Sweeney’s until his health would not allow him. Mr. Blue enjoyed fishing with his boys, watching Gold Rush, and playing Domino.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Blue, of the home; sons, Chad Blue and Billy Blue (Charlene), all of Ada; daughter, Twilah Blue of Ada; sons, David and Chris Blue; daughter, Sherra Blue; two sisters, Othella Blue and Neva Booker, both of Ada; a very special brother-in-law, Richard Bullard of Oklahoma City; four grandsons, Trejan and Richard Blue, Jonah and Joshua Ascension, all of Ada; a host of devoted and loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Gladys blue; two sisters, Charlotte and Clarice Blue; and his aunt, Dorothy Clark.
