Services for Robert Lee “Bobby” Nelson, 83, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Famous D. Cochran will officiate. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Nelson passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at a local nursing home. Robert Nelson was born June 22, 1932 to Fado Nelson and Louella Johnson. He was the youngest of three siblings.

Robert was raised in the Leader and Stonewall area, where he attended school and got his high school diploma. Robert’s profession was a cook for many years until his health started failing him. He also loved to ride bulls.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Robert leaves to cherish his memories, two sons, Tony Dewayne Nelson, Ada and Robert Johnson, Oklahoma City; a step-son, Joe Cubitt, Oklahoma City; two daughters, Linda Daniels, Ada and Sue Ann Epperson, Wewoka; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; and a very compassionate friend, Marylyn Nelson.
