Services for Thompson Clifford Monroe, 79, of Ada are 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 28, 2023 at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Famous Cochran will officiate. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Thompson Clifford Monroe was born on November 14, 1943, and passed away surrounded by loved ones on August 23, 2023. He was 79 years old.

Thompson was Tom to his wife, daddy to his children and pawpaw to his grandchildren. He grew up in Olney, Oklahoma where he attended Olney Public School. Thompson lived in the surrounding area all his life and was a farmer and rancher. He was preceded in death by his parents Lemuel ‘Jim’ Monroe and Willis Monroe of Olney, Oklahoma and sister Geradine Monroe of Phoenix, Arizona.

Thompson is survived by his wife Gladys Gwen Monroe of Ada, Oklahoma; his children; Stephanie Renee Monroe of Ada, Oklahoma; Darrell Keith Monroe and wife Callie of Ada, Oklahoma; and Mia Machelle Monroe of Edmond, Oklahoma; his grandchildren; Chase Monroe, Brian James, Desiree Bell, Brittany Monroe, Jalon Smith, Tristan Monroe and wife Taylor, Michaela Mack, and Aidan Smith; and many great grandchildren and an abundance of friends.

Thompson is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law Arthur and June Fulson; sister-in-law Effie Washington; sister-in-law Brezilla Alexander; and sister-in-law Vester Johnson.
