Services for Rev. Fred Henry Alfred, Jr., 69, of Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Elder Willie Drumgo will officiate. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Alfred died, Friday, April 22, 2016 at a local hospital. He was born April 11, 1947 in Stonewall to Henry Simon and Pearl Ella Cochran Alfred. He attended Lula and Tupelo Schools.

He was ordained by Rev. F. D. Cochran and for a time pastored his own church, The Bright & Morning Star Baptist Church. Mr. Alfred was affiliated with the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include one brother, Clifford George Alfred , Sr. and wife Virginia of Ada; nieces and nephews, Windella, Rhonda, Antionette, Marlene, Renee, Clifford Jr., Windell Jr. and Dewayne.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Windell Wilkie Alfred, Kenneth Ray Alfred and Melvin Alfred; three sisters, Alene Alfred, Margaret Lou Alfred and Helena Fay Alfred Nelson.
