Services for Virginia Thompson, 85, of Ada are 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Ada, Rev. Harold Ware will officiate.
Mrs. Thompson died Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at an assisted living center in Ada. She was born April 12, 1929 in Ada to Edgar and Ida Carroll Dunn. She graduated from Ada High School in 1946.
She married J. M. “Hank” Thompson in 1967. Mrs. Thompson was the former operator of Thompson Tours. She was a member of Union Valley Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, J. M. “Hank” Thompson, of the home; a son, Steve Baxter and wife D. J. of Ada; daughter, Jan Taylor and husband Greg of Ada; step-son, David Thompson and his wife Cindy; two step-daughters, Gayle Hill and Carol Daganhart; her grandchildren, Stephanie Halpern and husband Chris, Suzanne Pederson and husband Rick, Whitney Endres and husband Eric, Adam Baxter and Jake Baxter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Wanda Sites.
The family says those who wish may make memorials to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for Cancer Research, 825 NE 13th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73104-5097.
