PANHANDLE - Fred E. Crist, 87, died in Cumby Thursday, April 18, 2002.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in First Baptist Church with Crist Roberts and Mark Roberts, grandsons, officiating. Burial will be in Panhandle Cemetery by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directorse.
Mr. Crist was born Dec. 10, 1914, in Rolf, Okla. He retired in 1977 as a signman with the Texas Highway Department.
Survivors include his wife, Almeda; a son, Gene Crist of Cumby; two daughters, Mary Alice Benton of Denton and Bertha Mae Owens of San Antonio; two sisters, Cora Guard of Amarillo and Nellie Fulgham of Mineola; eight grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
