Dorothy Mabel Vernon (Canfield) Hodges Tudor

Services for Dorothy Tudor were held at 10:00 AM, Thursday February 13, 2003 at the Harrah Free Will Baptist Church in Harrah, OK. Interment followed at Oakman Cemetery in Ada, OK. Services were under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel.

Dorothy Mabel Vernon Tudor, was born November 18th 1914 in Salina, OK to George Henry and Tina Bell Canfield. She grew up in Scipio, OK and was married at an early age to the father of her children Alvin Hodges. Six children were born to this union.

Dorothy was a member of Harrah Freewill Baptist Church. Dorothy was a very loving mother and grandmother. She loved to play bingo and shop. Her most happy times was when shopping with JoAnn and family.

Survivors include her daughter, JoAnn Bacon & husband Richard of Norman; two sons Bill Hodges & wife Frances of Stonewall, OK; Stanley & wife Sylvia Hodges of Fittstown, OK; two sisters Willie Jean & husband Howard Coats of Pryor, OK; Ione & husband Kelley Pallock of MaComb, OK; one brother G.W. & wife Grace Canfield of Tollison, AZ. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren & friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents; two sons Bob James Hodges & Odis Wayne Hodges, one daughter Dessie Dee Duke; four sisters and two brothers.
