Services for Stanley Clark Lillard, 80, of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Southwest Church of Christ, Floyd Kaiser and Danny Stewart will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakman Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mr. Lillard passed away Thursday, February 22, 2018 at a local hospital. He was born August 1, 1937 at Oakman to Lester Lee and Pauline Eppler Lillard. He attended Oakman grade school and graduated from Byng High School in 1955.

Stanley went to work for the Oklahoma Highway Department as a surveyor until 1960. In 1960, he joined the Army Corp of Engineers in Alaska on the Fort Richardson Army Base. He surveyed for the Alaskan Pipeline, surveyed and ran transits for roads, runways and airstrips to remote of Valdez, Alaska from April 1961 – May 1966.

He returned to Ada and opened Lillard Furniture Store which he operated until his retirement in 2004.

He married Glenda Hudson Ward March 27, 1975 in Ada. After retiring, Stanley spent the rest of his working years on his ranch. He loved big game hunting and fishing. He was affiliated with the Church of Christ, was a member of the Cattleman’s Association and the Oklahoma Farm Bureau.

Survivors include his wife, Glenda, of the home; a son, Jeff Lillard and wife Nicole of Ada; a step-son, Keith Ward and wife Teresa of Independence, MO; six grandchildren, Natasha Segura and husband José, Princeton, TX; Skylar and Dain Ward, Independence, MO; Drew, Jake and Sam Lillard, Ada; one great-grandson, Josh Segura, Princeton, TX; a sister, Mary Barrett and husband Bill, Ada; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Lillard, Duncan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bearers will be Keith Ward, Richard Barrett, Bob Lillard, Jeff Lillard, Brett Barrett and Bob Sweet.
