Graveside services for Betty Jo “Taylor” Henry, 74, of Broken Arrow, OK will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Highland Cemetery, Stonewall.

Betty was born February 19, 1949 in Ada, OK to Paul Lee and Jimmie Joe Hutchings Taylor.

Betty soon found the love of her life and was married to Johnny Lee Henry February 17, 1968 in Stonewall. They were married for 54 years.

Betty lived a wonderful life and was a role model for her family. She loved flowers, making everyone feel loved, welcomed, and appreciated. She was a true mentor for her family and friends.

Betty went to grade school in Ada, OK and graduated from Ada High School. She then attended nursing school and became a registered nurse. As well as becoming the lead supervisor at Broken Arrow Medical Center on weekends. Before retiring, Betty spent over 20 years of her professional life working as a healthcare administrator in Broken Arrow, OK.

Betty’s life and energy was every day full of love and compassion to her family, friends and her patients. She was immensely faithful. She was intelligent, bright, beautiful, strong and thrived on helping others. Her resilience was unmatched.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Lee and Jimmie Jo Taylor; and her sister, Paula Sue Taylor Beene.

She is survived by her husband, Johnny Lee Henry; her two children: son, Eric Henry, daughter, Laura Henry Briggeman; son-in-law, Bill Briggeman; and two beloved grandchildren, Braelee and Trey Briggeman, all of Broken Arrow, OK; a sister, Lee Ann Cargill and husband Les; brother, Michael Paul Taylor and wife Sandy Taylor; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends all of whom she loved very much.

Betty passed away peacefully in her sleep Tuesday, March 22, 2023 at her home in Broken Arrow.

She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
