Donny Lynn Fisher was born February 13, 1949 in Frederick, OK to Bennie and Pauline (Huffer) Fisher. He spent his youth in western Oklahoma until moving to Ada in 1962, where he went on to graduate from Byng High School in 1967. Following high school Donny joined the US Air Force where he served both domestically and abroad.
After his honorable discharge from the military Donny returned home to Ada to marry and start his family with two daughters, later followed by several years of dairy farming in Arkansas and Missouri, before returning back home to Ada. In 1989 he was joined by the love of his life, Mary, and added her three children to his family. They later moved to Midwest City, OK where they lived until Donny’s battle with Covid began on November 20, 2020 and ended with his death on April 4, 2021.
Donny is survived by his wife, Mary (Biege) Fisher of the home; his four daughters: Ronda (Biege) Allison and husband Motley of Ada; Casey Biege and her fiancé Leo of Kingfisher; Ralania (Fisher) Tignor and her husband Jimmy of Stonewall; and Karri (Fisher) Licea and her husband Joce of Stonewall; fifteen grandchildren: Taylor Rice, Nikki (Sockey) Woody, McKenzie Sockey, Ashton Henderson, Rumor LeJeune, Ashton Sockey, Emily Anderson, Maleonia Vogt, Peyton Russell, Daniel Licea, Dalton Anderson, Rike Allison, Chazden Padilla, Dakota Licea, and Braxton Padilla; five great-grandchildren: Zeke Curtis, Korbin Sellers, Mary Curtis, Warren Curtis, and Lydia Curtis; one sister, Gayla (Fisher) Stephens of Byng, and many friends.
Donny was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Billy Fisher; his sister, LaDonna Fisher; and his son, Jesse Russell.
The family would like to thank the staff at at the VA Hospital and Inspire Specialty Hospital and especially Cornerstone Specialty Hospital for their compassionate care of both Donny and his family during his final days.,br>
Donny’s celebration of life will be at Criswell’s Funeral Home on Friday, April 9, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Richard Bailey officiating. Interment will follow at Oakman Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends from 5 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Criswell Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Motley Allison, Leo Padilla, Jimmy Tignor, Joce Licea, Brandon Stephens, and Billy Stephens. Honorary pallbearers will be Leon Pannell, Bobby Gray, and Steve Mullins.
