Services for Jimmy Ellis Myers, 79, Fittstown, are 2 p.m. Thursday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at New Bethel Cemetery. Mr. Myers died Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015, at his home. He was born April 29, 1936, to Ellis Marion and Edna Lucille Winters Myers at Byng. He graduated from Byng High School, where he was an outstanding catcher for the baseball team. Mr. Myers was self-employed in the construction, mining and oil drilling business and was an excellent improviser. He was of the Baptist faith.

He and Georgia Current were married in 1955.

His survivors include his wife, Georgia, of the home; one son, Sid Myers of Fittstown; two daughters, Linda Kay Scott and husband Arnold of Ada and Lori Mae DePriest and husband Todd of Weatherford; one sister, Bennie Miller of Moore; one brother, Dennis Myers of Fort Worth; seven grandchildren, Miles Jimmy Myers, Joe Levi Myers, Sadie Myers, Sylvia DePriest, Lucas DePriest, Logan Scott and Morgan DePriest; five great-grandchildren, Kelsey Myers, Brittany Myers, Justin Myers, Jolee Myers and Jared Myers; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis Marion and Edna Lucille Myers; and his son, Joe Thomas Myers.

Bearers will be Lucas DePriest, Logan Scott, Morgan DePriest, Clay Myers, Ron Jones and Boady Snider.
