Paskell Knight, 91, of Tahlequah, OK, passed away on November 17, 2024. He was born on September 6, 1933, in Stonewall, OK, to Troy and Martha (Abbott) Knight.

Paskell was full of homespun wisdom and was not above sharing with whomever was around. Above all, he was a wonderful Dad and loved his family deeply.

After graduating high school, Paskell proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Following his military service, he worked in the oil fields as a roustabout before becoming a truck driver and later a semi-truck mechanic.

Outside of work, Paskell had many hobbies, including fishing, hunting, camping, and gardening. He was also famous for making a mean pecan pie, which he shared at family gatherings.

Paskell is survived by his wife, Linda, of the home; his daughters, D’Angela Merrell and husband Jonathan of Kelso, WA, J’Anna Knight of Oklahoma City, OK; his grandchildren, Tyler Knight, Alexa Vance and husband Shawn of Tahlequah, OK, Stephen Hooper of Alamosa, CO; his sister, Donnie Skaggs of Seminole, OK; his great-grandson, Ezra Hooper, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Merle Ann Knight; his parents, Troy and Martha Mae Knight; and his brothers, Kenneth and Jerry Knight.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at New Bethel Cemetery in Byng, OK.
