Services for Junior Ray Burris, 70, of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Saturday at A Place of New Hope Pentecostal Holiness Church of Latta, Rev. Toby Willoughby will officiate. Burial will follow at New Bethel Cemetery at Byng.

Mr. Burris passed away Monday, November 21, 2016 at his home. He was born May 2, 1946 at Willis, OK to R. F. and Lois Looney Burris. He attended Tipton, OK schools and graduated from Tipton High School.

He married Melba Hatcher August 8, 1964 in Frederick. He and his family moved to this area June 13, 1986 from Tipton. Mr. Burris was a truck driver until his retirement and of the Pentecostal faith.

Survivors include his wife, Melba, of the home; his children, Tonya Ulrich and husband Bryan of Ada, Trinda Zukosky and husband Anthony of Ada, Shanella Arnett and husband Matthew of Tushka, and Stoney Burris and wife Nyree of Ada; a sister, Reda Dominey of Tipton; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Bearers will be Steve Hatcher, Jackie Hatcher, Allen Shane Dominey, James Dale Blackford, James Howard Hatcher and Don Hatcher. Honorary bearers will be Larry Fowler, Wesley and Scotty Fowler.
