Services for Carl Leon Bardin, 64, Byng are 2:00 p.m. Monday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Ray Talbott will officiate. Burial will follow at New Bethel Cemetery in Byng.

Mr. Bardin died Friday, August 1, 2008 at a local hospital. He was born May 14, 1944 at Okemah, Oklahoma to H. C. and Lola Passmore Bardin. He graduated from Okemah High School. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from East Central University in 1969 and a Master’s degree from Oklahoma State University in 1970.

He married Sharon Lee Éclair on May 17, 1978. Mr. Bardin taught at East Central University as a professor in the Business Education and Office Technology Department from 1970-2008. He was also a Certified Public Accountant. He was a member of the Ada Elks Lodge B. P. O. E. #1640, and Beta Alpha Psi – National Accounting Fraternity.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Bardin, of the home; four children, Deedy Pendley , Friendswood, TX, Jay Owens and Lorrie, Ada, Lonnie Sims and wife Lea Ann, Jenks, and Angie Sims, Arlington, TX; grandchildren, Eryn Pendley, Friendswood, Texas; Gabe Pendley, Friendswood, Texas; Eric Owens, Ada; Jaelynn Owens, Ada; Sydney Strumila, Arlington, Texas; and Laney Sims, Jenks; three sisters, Velma Luke, Okemah; Dolorse Gillham, Hot Springs, Arkansas; and Sonja Sue Janis, Hot Springs, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by two grandsons, Will and Cody Pendley, and a brother, J. B. Bardin.

Bearers will be Bill Chapman, Rodney Gray, Buddy Gaster, Weldon Smith, Mary Tilley, Paul Cross, Wendell Walker, Yvette Harjo and David Bryant.
