Services for Clara Joleta Murray, 84, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 3, 2024 at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Chad Kaminski will officiate. Burial will follow at Midland Cemetery near Vanoss.
Mrs. Murray passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at her home. She was born July 26, 1939 at Vanoss, OK to Jack and Leona James Jones.
She married Leonard Andrew Murray April 26, 1958. Mrs. Murray worked as a Packer for Solo Cup for many years.
Survivors include her husband, Andrew Murray, of the home; son, Michael Murray and wife Karen of Bartlesville, OK; daughter, Gail Murray of Ada; brother, Terry Jones and wife Mary of Stratford; three sisters, Bonnie O’Neal of Vanoss, Reba Davidson of Stratford and Charlotte Daniel and husband John of Stratford; three grandchildren, Stormy Kircher, Amber Newcombe and Stevie Williams; eight great-grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Andrea Mae Murray; and two brothers, Dale Jones and Donald Jones.
Bearers will be Matthew Newcombe, Jaxson Newcombe, Stevie Williams, Bill Bolin, Logan Smith and Auston Hamilton. Honorary bearers will be Kevin Sutton and Jo Don Jones.
