Services for Elmer Ray Baggerly, Jr., 82, of Stratford are 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Earl Hood will officiate. Burial will follow at Midland Cemetery near Vanoss.

Mr. Baggerly passed away Saturday, May 25, 2019 at a Norman hospital. He was born July 1, 1936 at Rockdale, TX to Elmer Ray and Elvia Whited Baggerly.

He married Barbara Jean Shuff October 9, 1954 in Houston, TX. She preceded him in death June 29, 2005. Mr. Baggerly was a nursing home administrator in Texas before his retirement. He served in the United States Marines for four years as a Radio Telegraph Operator and later a Drill Instructor. After he was discharged from the Marines, he became an ordained minister until his death. He was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith. Survivors include his nine children, Linda Baggerly, Ronnie Baggerly, Kathy Hart Cherry Tinnin, Elvia Baggerly, Helen Parks, Vernon Baggerly, Sharla Opitz and Mike Baggerly; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Larry Lee Baggerly.
