Services for Betty Jane Walston, 84, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 22, 2023 at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Dustin Felcman will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives from 5 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Walston died Monday, December 18, 2023 at her home. She was born July 23, 1939 in McAlester to Walter and Ruby Dew McDaniel. She graduated from Ada High School.

She married Don E. Walston on June 1, 1957 at the Ahloso Baptist Church. He preceded her death on May 29, 2014. Mrs. Walston was employed with Brockway Glass for 31 years as a physical tester. She was of the Baptist faith, active member of College Heights Baptist Church for 44 years, taught Sunday School for many years, Treasurer of the W. M. A. and later became a member of Morris Memorial Baptist Church. She enjoyed walking and fishing.

Survivors include her son, Randy Walston of Ada; daughter, Kelly Vaughn and husband Keith of Ada; four grandchildren, Tisha Killian, Sari Jennings and husband Josh, and Randi Smith, all of Ada, and Ethan Walston and wife Madison of Virginia Beach, VA; great-grandchildren, Landyn, Brooklynn, Liberti and Kenidi Smith, Ada, Jax and Jenner Jennings, Ada, Paisley and Oakley Walston, Virginia Beach, VA; sister, Trudy Ramsey and husband Dale, San Antonio, TX; brother, John Howard and wife Debra, Ada.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Don; her parents; two sisters, Mildred “Bernice” McNeill and Wanda Batterall and husband Ron; brother-in-law, Warren McNeill; and daughter-in-law, Tanya Walston.

Bearers will be Ethan Walston, Landyn Smith, Jax Jennings, Josh Jennings, Denny Walston, Arnold Scott and Aaron Heilaman. Honorary bearers will be Maison Farmer and Jenner Jennings.
